I have so many questions about the "foundations more than gov't" headline. I feel like I need to understand that better, is it definitional (such as gov't has more contracts than grants) or is it really austerity. I don't seem to have a spare minute to figure out. Did you find anything?
Very very good questions, and what I was wondering about too. I think it’s much more complex than the headline. That’s why the story worries me so much - it makes it clear that there is an ideological agenda happening here. There always is with the ACF of course…
Is that true about LinkedIn? I’m definitely sensing a shift. My feed is devoid of all the interesting contacts and colleagues I used to see and is now peppered with ads for BlackRock and invitations to move to Dubai.
Yeah, nobody is getting any reach or seeing any of their contacts/ friends’ posts any more. There’s a lot of talk/ analysis about it. Major algorithm changes - video, emotional rawness and personal images, live laugh love memes…. And then more advertising for crypto and Dubai and black rock than ever. Also pay to play a real shift, as they did with Instagram about 5 years ago…. Plus an overwhelm with AI content and also people in the banking and tech restarting profiles due to large layoffs…
