There is nothing easy about the current moment, whether in the US, UK, or elsewhere. the influences are tangled and overlapping. Ideally, this complexity could open opportunities for collaboration or threads that move us in a better direction. The scope and organization of Project 2025, with its co-created and network approach, should be a wake-up call. Progressives in particular seem outmaneuvered once again. What feels most needed now is a clearer set of offerings/pathways that respond with both equal coherence and intent.

Great article. I’m aware that some of those who attend these marches aren’t right wingers but I didn’t consider the fascist women, making the sandwiches and fomenting racism (and equally as capable of assault). We need to avoid the binary thinking of your stereotypical antifascist.
